BGN Chief Receives Bogor Primary School Principal's Request for School Revitalisation

The Principal of SDN Bantarjati 9 in Bogor City, Sugiartini, has conveyed her aspiration for the revitalisation of her school to the Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN). Sudaryono responded to the request and stated he would propose it to President Prabowo Subianto.

Sugiartini made the request during Sudaryono’s visit to the school on Friday. She initially expressed her appreciation for the visit and hoped Sudaryono would return more often. “Hopefully you will visit again, Sir. Because with your presence here, perhaps the nutritional improvements will become even better,” said Sugiartini. “Amin. Insyaallah, Ma’am,” replied Sudaryono.

It was during this exchange that Sugiartini requested the revitalisation of her school. Sudaryono responded that he would forward the proposal. “Then one more thing, Sir. What I want is school revitalisation,” said Sugiartini. “The school? Okay. I will propose it to Mr Prabowo, to the President,” answered Sudaryono.

Sugiartini also noted that the students at SDN Bantarjati 9 were very enthusiastic about the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme. She said that children who previously did not eat breakfast now do, and those who disliked vegetables and side dishes have started to enjoy them. “Alhamdulillah, almost every child eats the MBG and almost all of it is finished,” she said.

Sudaryono added that his agency plans to create a module for schoolchildren explaining the nutritional content of the free meals they consume. He said the module would be distributed through the Nutrition Fulfilment Service Unit (SPPG) to implementing staff at schools, complementing existing lessons on etiquette and handwashing.
