Deputy for Monitoring and Supervision at BGN, Dadang Hendrayudha, here on Wednesday emphasized that governors, district heads, and mayors play a central role in ensuring food availability in their respective regions to meet the needs of MBG kitchens.

“We ask regional heads to ensure that supply chains in their regions are fulfilled. With a reliable supply chain, farmers, livestock breeders, and fishers will benefit because their products are absorbed,” he said after an evaluation meeting with the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda).

Hendrayudha explained that of the Rp15,000 allocation per meal portion, Rp10,000 is specifically designated for ingredient purchases.

In accordance with Presidential Regulation No. 115 of 2025 on MBG Governance, the program is required to cooperate with micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and absorb local agricultural products.

He added that synergy between SPPG and local governments must ensure food distribution is managed properly so as not to trigger local market inflation.

“The economy will strengthen at the grassroots level if this supply chain runs well. Farmers will be happy because their products are purchased to support kitchen needs across all regions,” he said.

In addition to logistics, BGN also instructed strict supervision of kitchen operations. Hendrayudha highlighted several points, including hygiene in cooking processes, which must begin simultaneously at 2:00 a.m. to maintain food freshness.

He also emphasized balanced nutritional menu standards with the involvement of professional chefs.

“BGN will not hesitate to revoke the operating licenses of (kitchen) partners who violate standards, as seen in a recent closure in Cilegon City,” he said.
