Jakarta — The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has announced that 32,000 Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK) have been officially appointed and are receiving salaries.

“We now have 32,000. 32,000 PPPK who have been completed and have even received their appointment letters and are receiving salaries,” said BGN Head Dadan Hindayana at the Attorney General’s Building in Jakarta on Tuesday (17 March 2026).

This initiative is described as part of institutional strengthening, particularly in support of oversight of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme.

According to Hindayana, the presence of these PPPK staff is crucial to strengthening the implementation of the MBG programme, which now reaches tens of thousands of nutrition service units (SPPG) throughout Indonesia.

However, Hindayana stated that further PPPK recruitment will be subject to further review.

“For further developments, we will first coordinate with the Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment including the Ministry of Finance regarding the budget, whether it can still be used or not,” he said.

The BGN is also strengthening oversight aspects of the MBG programme, given the size of the budget being managed. One step taken is to increase cooperation with the Attorney General’s Office, including involving intelligence units at regional level.

Additionally, the BGN has launched a public complaints channel through the “Sahabat Gizi 127” (Nutrition Friend 127) service, which is accessible 24 hours a day.

“We already have a complaints reporting system called Sahabat Gizi 127. Yes, and it is staffed 24 hours a day, via telephone, WhatsApp, or email. And it will definitely be followed up,” Hindayana explained.
