Jakarta, VIVA – The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has announced a list of echelon I officials pursuant to a Presidential Decree signed by President Prabowo Subianto.

Deputy Head of BGN, Agustina Arumsari, said the five officials were appointed directly by Prabowo.

“Yesterday afternoon we received a Presidential Decree signed by the President regarding the appointment of deputies within BGN,” said Arum at the BGN office in Central Jakarta on Tuesday, 21 July 2026.

Deputy for Systems and Governance

Arum said the post of Deputy for Systems and Governance has been filled by Prima Yosephin Berliana Tumiur Hutapea. Prima is a doctor who previously served as Director of Immunisation Management at the Ministry of Health.

Arum said Prima’s experience in managing the national immunisation programme shares similar characteristics with the Free Nutritious Meal programme (MBG).

“She is accustomed to building systems, from target planning and setting objectives, to tiered distribution from the centre to service facilities, recording recipients by name and by address, and monitoring and evaluating programme achievements,” she said.

Deputy for Provision and Distribution

This position has been filled by Zainuri, who previously served as Head of the Finance Bureau at the Finance and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP).

“We placed him in this area because the various problems that have previously occurred in provision and distribution must not be repeated. With his background as an auditor, we hope the system built will be far better,” said Arum.

Deputy for Promotion and Cooperation

This position is now held by Mariman Darto, who previously served as Deputy for Promotion and Cooperation at the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education.

“He will be tasked with establishing cooperation with parties that are genuinely relevant to the MBG programme,” Arum explained.

Deputy for Monitoring and Supervision

This post is held by Ketut Sumedana, who previously served as Head of the South Sumatra High Prosecutor’s Office and was formerly Head of the Legal Information Centre at the Attorney General’s Office.

Arum said Ketut’s task is to oversee suspected poisoning cases through to matters amounting to legal violations.

“His experience in law enforcement is greatly needed to identify potential irregularities, ensure regulatory compliance, carry out monitoring and evaluation, and draw up standard operating procedures,” she said.
