BFI Finance and Bank Jago Respond to Merger Speculation
PT BFI Finance Indonesia Tbk. (BFIN) has addressed reports suggesting the company will merge with PT Bank Jago Tbk. (ARTO). BFI Finance Director Sudjono confirmed that, as of now, the company has no information regarding the merger rumours previously reported. He stated that information concerning the alleged merger falls outside the company’s authority to comment on. “BFI Finance cannot provide a response regarding the activities or decisions of shareholders,” according to a disclosure on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, Tuesday (14/7/2026). He emphasised that BFI Finance, as a publicly listed company, consistently complies with all applicable capital market regulations. The company also assured it will convey any material information or corporate actions to the public in accordance with prevailing regulations. Furthermore, management confirmed that there is currently no other material information or event that could affect the company’s business continuity or the movement of BFIN’s share price. Regarding the reports, Bank Jago’s management stated it could not comment on shareholder activities or decisions. Bank Jago also could not comment on information not originating from the company or on market speculation. “The company does not have information to convey regarding a merger between the company and BFI Finance, nor information related to approaches from financial institutions or foreign investors as mentioned in the query,” Bank Jago’s management told CNBC Indonesia, Friday (10/7/2026). As a technology-based bank, the management said, Bank Jago consistently develops its business and creates sustainable growth through innovation and collaboration with various digital and financial ecosystems. Management noted that the collaboration with BFI Finance is part of a strategic business partnership that has been ongoing to provide relevant financial solutions to customers and support sustainable growth.
