Beyond 100-Day Plan, Suyudi Outlines Criminal Activities to be Eradicated
Komjen Suyudi Ario Seto, a candidate for the position of National Police Chief, has not only revealed his 100-day programme but has also disclosed a series of criminal activities he intends to eradicate.
This was stated by Suyudi while presenting the programmes intended to serve as ‘quick wins’ during his first 100 days if appointed as the National Police Chief. He explained that these programmes encompass the eradication of criminal acts, such as online gambling and digital fraud, as well as the strengthening of District Police (Polres) and Sector Police (Polsek).
“Quick wins for the first 100 days. Starting with safe public spaces, the eradication and recovery of drug-affected areas, and cleaning up online gambling and digital fraud,” Suyudi stated during the fit and proper test for the National Police Chief candidate at Commission III of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) on Thursday (1/10/2026).
Furthermore, the current Head of the National Narcotics Board (BNN) promised to enhance police services to the public through the rapid response of the 110 emergency service and a victim-friendly Criminal Police Investigation Centre (SPKT). He also mentioned that ensuring case tracking through the SP2HP (Investigation Result Letter) would be part of his initial 100-day programme.
“110 rapid response and victim-friendly SPKT, certain case tracking via SP2HP, clean from within, strong Polres, and resilient Polsek,” he said. According to Suyudi, this agenda will include the harmonisation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) with the new Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP), Human Rights, and new laws, alongside the implementation of scientific investigation techniques.
Additionally, he divided his 100-day programme into three stages. From day one to day 30, he aims to assess the actual condition within the Indonesian National Police (Polri), establish a command for change, and build a baseline. From day 31 to 60, he will focus on testing these improvements. Finally, from day 61 to 100, Suyudi will evaluate the results of the implemented improvements while correcting any failures.
Suyudi emphasised that his first 100 days of leadership would not merely be a platform to announce numerous programmes. “The first 100 days is not a stage to announce as many programmes as possible. The first 100 days is a phase to prove our direction,” Suyudi asserted.
It was previously reported that President Prabowo Subianto has sent a Presidential Letter (Surpres) to the House of Representatives regarding the dismissal of National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo and the appointment of a new Chief. Habiburokhman explained that the leadership of the House of Representatives received the Presidential Letter from President Prabowo, numbered R57/Surpres/09/2026, dated 30 September 2026.
