Politicians today can be likened to wayang puppeteers, who use
ordinary people for experimentation. The screen symbolizes the
state, party members act as gamelan players, while observers,
activists and academicians become sinden (orchestral singers).

Presenting the same theme, "democracy", the dalang or
puppeteers do not follow the standard story but create their own
plots. So their tongue-in-cheek performances serve the interests
of their groups, with the wayang or people being treated as they
wish.

Therefore, the public should be alert to the provocations of
such political puppeteers, so that ordinary citizens of Indonesia
will not fall victim to their political experimentation.
