Beware of Traffic Jams: Three Protests to Be Held Simultaneously in Jakarta Today

JAKARTA - Three demonstrations will be held at 10:00 WIB at three locations in Central Jakarta today, Wednesday (1/4/2026).

The Head of Public Relations for the Central Jakarta Metropolitan Police Resort, Iptu Erlyn Sumantri, stated that the first demonstration will take place on Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Gambir.

“There will be a rally by Merah Putih activists in the morning,” said Erlyn in a written statement on Wednesday.

The third rally will be held at the Central Jakarta District Court in Kemayoran by workers from the PT Dua Kuda Indonesia union.

Erlyn explained that 562 police personnel have been deployed to secure the demonstrations in Central Jakarta today.

Meanwhile, traffic engineering at the demonstration sites will be carried out situationally, taking into account the number of participants on the ground.

Erlyn advised the public to avoid the areas around the protest locations to anticipate traffic jams.
