Beware of Fraudulent Tactics: BRI Asserts KUR Applications Are Not Offered Online
Jakarta (ANTARA) – PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk has emphasised that the entire application process for BRI’s Small Business Credit (KUR) is never conducted through online offers using unofficial links or social media.
The company ensures that every KUR application process is carried out solely through BRI officers and processed via official BRI offices.
BRI Corporate Secretary, Dhanny, stated that the rising prevalence of KUR offers via text messages, digital links, and social media accounts is a fraudulent tactic misusing the BRI name.
“BRI never offers or processes KUR applications online through unofficial links, personal accounts, or parties that have no connection to BRI. The entire KUR application process is only conducted through official BRI work units and is processed directly by official BRI officers,” said Dhanny.
Dhanny added that the public can access KUR application services through Branch Offices, Sub-Branch Offices, BRI Units, BRI Terraces, AgenBRILink, or official BRI marketing personnel distributed throughout Indonesia.
BRI also emphasised that there are no upfront fees for any part of the KUR application process. Consequently, the public is urged not to be easily deceived by offers promising rapid disbursement under unreasonable conditions.
Furthermore, BRI reminded the public never to provide personal or confidential banking data, such as PINs, passwords, OTP codes, or other private information, to any party.
“Any request for a customer’s confidential data can be confirmed as an indication of fraud. The public is expected to always verify information through official BRI channels,” Dhanny added.
BRI advises the public to obtain information only through the company’s official channels, such as the official BRI website, official BRI social media, or BRI Contact 14017/1500017.
“As part of our commitment to enhancing the security of banking services, BRI continues to strengthen financial literacy education and public vigilance, while coordinating with relevant parties to follow up on various fraudulent modes that misuse the company’s name,” Dhanny concluded.
