Beware of
Golkar's strategy

The Golkar party, in its politicking moves, is known to be
loaded with an array of strategies, among others, by sending its
members to their home towns to grab the position of governor in
their regions, as can be seen from Abdullah Puteh in Aceh to
start off, followed by Abdul Gafur as the governor of North
Maluku province and Fadel Muhammad for Gorontalo province.

It's anybody's guess as to who's next.

Observers and other (non Golkar) members of the political
elite strangely seem to be sound asleep and not aware of such
wily tactics, as upon securing this high-ranking position, it
would be simple for these governors to direct the electorate to
cast their votes for Golkar in the next election in 2004.

Why is this important for Golkar's future? It is clearly due
to its currently fading image, further damaged by fierce
demonstrations demanding the disbandment of Golkar.

To the rest of the parties a word of caution is advised. Do be
alert as these silent and stealthy operations by Golkar might
prove to be effective tricks.
