Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The Ibu Kota Nusantara Authority (OIKN) is reminding the public to be wary of job vacancy information circulating on social media. OIKN has stated that this job vacancy information is fake and untrue.

OIKN spokesperson Troy Pantouw revealed that OIKN has not yet opened any recruitment process to date. He explained that information related to IKN is only announced through the official website or OIKN’s official social media.

“At present, the IKN Authority is not opening any recruitment or employee intake process in any form. All information circulating through posters, broadcast messages, or registration links outside of official channels constitutes hoaxes and is outside the responsibility of the IKN Authority,” said Troy in his official statement, quoted on Monday (13/4/2026).

Troy explained that official OIKN recruitment never requires any fees in any form. He assured that OIKN does not use personal contacts, whether via WhatsApp or non-corporate emails, in the recruitment communication process.

Therefore, he urged the public not to fill in personal data on links that do not originate from the official domain ikn.go.id.

“The IKN Authority reminds of the potential misuse of agency attributes such as logos, photos of officials, or infrastructure visuals to mislead the public. Official information is only conveyed through the official communication channels of the IKN Authority,” said Troy.

To parties engaging in information manipulation, including fake information, hoaxes, and the like through various media channels, including the use of IKN logos, emblems, building photos, or OIKN official photos, Troy requested that they immediately stop and remove such fake content.

If the public encounters unconvincing information, he asked the public to always verify the information and be more cautious about various forms of scams that exploit recruitment issues. The public can report if they find fake information via lapor.go.id or the hotline number +62 811-5999-767.
