EU officials to help RI fight against terrorism: The European
Union said on Friday it would send a trio of top officials to
Indonesia early next month to help fight against terrorism in the
wake of the Bali nightclub bombing. The trio will be led by
Carsten Staur, a state secretary from the Danish foreign
ministry. Denmark currently holds the rotating presidency of the
EU. "The purpose of the visit is to express the European Union's
solidarity and readiness to support the government of Indonesia
in the fight against terrorism," the Danish presidency said in a

Hambali, Malaysian terror suspect charged in RP: State
prosecutors in the Philippines said on Friday they have filed
criminal charges in court against fugitive Indonesian Islamic
militant Riduan Isamudin and a Malaysian man detained in
Singapore. The criminal indictment accuses Isamudin, also known
as Hambali, and Faiz bin Abu Bakar Bafana of giving money to
local religious militants to procure explosives used in a series
of Manila bombings nearly two years ago that left 22 people dead.

Nigeria defends defiance of World Court border ruling: Nigeria on
Friday defied international pressure to accept a World Court
judgment ordering it to cede the disputed oil-rich Bakassi
peninsula to its neighbor Cameroon. Foreign Minister Sule Lamido
met diplomats on Thursday to defend President Olusegun Obasanjo's
surprise decision to reject the judgment, a contravention of the
