Bethsaida Hospital Gading Serpong has officially introduced the 3.0 Tesla (3T) SIGNA Hero MRI scanning system, AI-based, from GE HealthCare. The latest-generation scanning system is claimed to deliver crisper imaging, faster examination times, and a more comfortable experience for patients. The innovation represents a strategic move for the hospital to strengthen modern diagnostic services amid rising demand for precise and efficient medical examinations. Kriswanto Trimoeljo, CEO of GE HealthCare Indonesia, said the system can cut examination times by up to 50% compared with conventional technology. ‘AI technologies such as Sonic DL and AIR Recon DL can significantly improve image quality, speed up the examination, and provide a better patient experience,’ Kriswanto said at the launch of the 3 Tesla MRI at Bethsaida Hospital Gading Serpong, Tangerang, on 21 May 2026. The technology is also claimed to produce images up to 60% sharper than conventional MRI. With better visualisation detail, clinicians can evaluate and decide therapies more precisely. He also hopes the arrival of this device will encourage more people to have health checks at Indonesian hospitals rather than abroad, noting that given the current conditions, it is important for the public to examine their health in Indonesia and help the nation’s foreign exchange. In cardiology and vascular medicine, the MRI 3 Tesla can be used to observe cardiac structure and function, myocardial disease, inflammation, valve abnormalities, past heart attacks, and certain congenital heart conditions.
