Betawi Ulama and Habaib Commemoration to be Held This Afternoon at Monas, Led by Habib Syekh

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, together with community leaders, ulama, and habaib, will hold the ‘2026 Haul of Betawi Ulama and Habaib’ at the southern plaza of Monas this Friday afternoon (19/6/2026). The event, scheduled from 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM WIB, will feature shalawat recitations led by Habib Syekh bin Abdul Qodir Assegaf.

According to information shared via the official Pemprov DKI Jakarta account, the commemoration will be attended by Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo and Deputy Governor Rano Karno, along with other prominent figures, ulama, and habaib from Jakarta.

‘Let us prepare to attend the Haul of Betawi Ulama and Habaib 2026 with Habib Syekh,’ the Pemprov DKI Jakarta Instagram account stated on Friday (19/6/2026).

Beyond commemorating the contributions of Betawi ulama and habaib, the event is intended as a moment to strengthen Islamic brotherhood and reinforce long-standing religious traditions within Jakarta’s community.

The organising committee advises attendees to come in good health and free from any symptoms of illness. Congregants are also encouraged to bring their own prayer equipment and wear comfortable clothing and footwear.
