Best decorated hotels, buildings named

An award committee has named the buildings and sites in
Jakarta that were best decorated on Indonesia's 49th Independence
Day.

The committee for the competition of best decorated buildings
and tourist sites on Wednesday announced Sahid Jaya hotel as the
first place winner for the five-star hotel category. The
Borobudur Inter-Continental and Hotel Indonesia were named second
and third place winners for that category.

Horison hotel in Ancol Dreamland in North Jakarta was selected
as the first place winner for the four-star hotel category.
Second and third place winners for this category were Kartika
Chandra hotel in South Jakarta and Kartika Plaza in Central
Jakarta.

The committee also named the Putri Duyung Cottage in Ancol as
the first place winner for the three-star hotel category with
Wisata International hotel in Central Jakarta and City Hotel in
West Jakarta taking second and third place.

First place winners for the two-star and one-star hotel
categories were Kebayoran Inn, in South Jakarta and Petamburan
hotel in Central Jakarta, respectively.

PT Smailing Tours, PT Satriavi Tours & Travel and PT Bimatama
Travel came in first, second and third for best decorated travel
bureaus.

In the tourist site category Ancol Amusement Park was declared
the first place winner while the Senayan Youth Park and Ismail
Marzuki Park, both in Central Jakarta, were proclaimed as second
and third place winners. (yns)
