Benson cancels Indonesian concert

JAKARTA: Jazz great George Benson has canceled his The Absolutely
Live Tour due to the "recent situation in Indonesia", his
promoter in Indonesia Java Musikindo said in a statement.

The concert, which was to take place at the Jakarta Convention
Center, was scheduled for Nov. 20, 2002.

"Due to the recent situation in Indonesia, with great regret
the George Benson management has decided to cancel the concert,"
Java Musikindo said in the statement.

Those who have purchased tickets for the concert will be
reimbursed fully, which can be done through the outlets where
they were purchased. -- JP
