Beni Relieved by Rp 1 MRT Senayan-Cipete Fare During Eid: Remaining Balance Rp 5,000
Users of the MRT route from Istora Mandiri Station to Cipete, Beni, feel helped by the special Rp 1 fare policy on Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah. He said that coincidentally his MRT balance was only Rp 5,000, while the usual MRT fare for a single trip is Rp 10,000. “I’m happy (about the Rp 1 fare), because we’re always looking to save, right? Normally, one tap is at least ten thousand. And coincidentally, my balance was really low,” said Beni when met by detikcom on Saturday (21/3/2026). “The balance is just under five thousand. So it makes it easier for me to take the MRT. Usually, the minimum is Rp 15,000, but now even under Rp 5,000, it can still be used,” he added. Asked about his hopes for this cheap fare, Beni hopes it will be implemented more often. With the Rp 1 fare per trip, Beni plans to visit relatives’ homes in Central Jakarta. “If I’m an ordinary lower-class person, I’d definitely want Rp 1 all the time. Yes, it helps me. Ah, definitely (used for halal bihalal), later I’ll probably go to my relatives’ place at Bundaran HI. Maybe in the afternoon I’ll head there,” he said. The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is implementing a Rp 1 fare for public transport modes during Eid. These include Transjakarta, MRT, Jakarta LRT, and Jabodebek LRT. The Rp 1 fare implementation applies for two days from 21-22 March 2026. With the Rp 1 fare, the public is expected to enjoy the Eid moment travelling around the Capital.
