Bengkulu, South Solok, and Pagaralam Win Category for Reducing Unemployment
The Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) has presented an award to the Bengkulu Provincial Government for its efforts in reducing the unemployment rate. Kemendagri also presented similar awards to district governments (pemkab) and city governments (pemkot).
The awards were presented at the 2026 Outstanding Regional Government Appreciation event held in Palembang, South Sumatra, on Saturday (25/4/2026). One of the categories was the Reduction in Unemployment Rate category.
This category evaluates the regional government’s efforts in reducing the unemployment rate in a planned and sustainable manner. The assessment covers the quality of programme planning, budget support, and actual achievements in lowering the unemployment rate.
In addition, regional innovations in the employment sector serve as added value in creating effective and impactful solutions.

District Level
South Solok Regency, West Sumatra
Mentawai Islands Regency, West Sumatra
Dairi Regency, North Sumatra
City Level
Pagaralam City, South Sumatra
Tanjungbalai City, North Sumatra
Dumai City, Riau
Provincial Level
- Bengkulu Province
The award in this category was presented by the Secretary General of Kemendagri, Tomsi Tohir Balaw. The awards were received directly by the governors, regents, and mayors who were the winners.
Kemendagri also provided appreciation to the provincial, district, or city governments that were winners with the following details:
1st place appreciation of Rp 3 billion
2nd place appreciation of Rp 2 billion
3rd place appreciation of Rp 1 billion
The 2026 Outstanding Regional Government Appreciation is an event in collaboration between Kemendagri and detikcom. In addition to the awarding, detikcom together with Kemendagri presents the FORUM AKSELERATOR NEGERI, as a national collaborative platform designed to bring together the central government, regional governments, business actors, investors, MSMEs, academics, and the public in one ecosystem of dialogue and action.
