Bengkulu (ANTARA) - The Bengkulu Provincial Government ensures that the monitoring of Hajj prospective pilgrims from the Land of the Red and White is conducted in real-time during the pilgrimage in the Holy Land. “We monitor in real-time from Bengkulu Province, whether via Zoom or other means, regarding the conditions of Bengkulu Province’s pilgrims in the Holy Land,” said Bengkulu Deputy Governor Mian in Bengkulu on Monday. Periodically, the Bengkulu Provincial Government also continues to monitor the situation and conditions of the pilgrims during the Hajj stages through direct connections to Hajj officers and attendants in the Holy Land. The Bengkulu Provincial Government also coordinates with the attendant team and Hajj officers in the Holy Land to obtain faster information about the pilgrims’ situation. This step, he said, is carried out as a form of the regional government’s responsibility in ensuring the safety and health of prospective Hajj pilgrims from Bengkulu during the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage. In addition, the government also ensures that the departure process runs smoothly despite budget efficiency conditions. Prospective Hajj pilgrims are still departed using flight services to the Padang Hajj Embarkation in West Sumatra despite the efficiency situation. This is done to provide maximum service to the community, especially prospective Hajj pilgrims, and to ensure that the pilgrims remain in prime condition during the upcoming pilgrimage. Meanwhile, the Head of the Provincial Ministry of Hajj and Umrah Office in Bengkulu, Intihan, stated that the departure of prospective Hajj pilgrims on Monday, 27 April 2026, is the departure of Bengkulu’s Flight Group (Kloter) III or joined in Padang’s (West Sumatra) Kloter IV. The pilgrims departed this time number 387 people originating from Bengkulu City, North Bengkulu Regency, and South Bengkulu Regency.
