Bengkulu needs 460 teachers

BENGKULU, Bengkulu: Rejang Lebong regency in Bengkulu is still
in need of 460 teachers for 398 elementary schools, 40 junior
high schools and 14 senior high schools.

Rejang Lebong education office head Tarmizi Usuludin said on
Monday that the regency was planning to construct 32 junior high
schools in several districts.

Currently Rejang Lebong Regency has only 4,000 teachers.

"We will recruit local teachers as well as teachers from other
regions because recruitment is urgent right now," he said, adding
that only 80 teachers were recruited last year. --Antara
