Bengkulu High Prosecutor's Office Receives Rp13.41 Billion in State Loss Recovery
The Bengkulu High Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati) has received the return of state financial losses worth Rp13.41 billion in a case of alleged corruption involving the replacement of the Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) System and the Main Control System of the Musi Hydroelectric Power Plant (PLTA) in Bengkulu. The project was carried out by the Bengkulu Generation Control Implementation Unit at the Southern Sumatra Generation Main Unit during the 2022–2023 fiscal year.
Head of the Bengkulu High Prosecutor’s Office, Saiful Bahri Siregar, stated that the return of state financial losses consisted of Rp2.32 billion for the AVR System replacement and Rp11.08 billion for the Main Control System replacement. He said that with this return, the state financial losses in the alleged corruption case have been fully recovered.
The returned funds have been deposited and stored at PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk through the RPL 016 account of the Bengkulu High Prosecutor’s Office for civil and state administrative cases, as a form of securing and managing monetary evidence in accordance with applicable regulations. Siregar emphasised that although the funds have been returned, the investigation process will continue to comprehensively uncover the legal facts, the roles of the parties involved, and to ensure fair legal certainty.
Previously, the Bengkulu High Prosecutor’s Office named eight suspects in the alleged corruption case concerning the replacement of the Main Control System of the Musi Hydroelectric Power Plant. The project was executed by the Bengkulu Generation Control Implementation Unit of PT PLN (Persero) Southern Sumatra Generation Main Unit, or PT PLN Indonesia Power, during 2022–2023. The eight suspects are Vincentius Fanny Janu Fidianto, Manager of the Engineering Sub-Division of UIK Sumbagsel; Jamot Jingles Sitanggang, Engineering staff of UIK Sumbagsel; Tulus Sadono, Director of PT Yokogawa Indonesia; Syaifur Rijal, Sales Manager of PT Yokogawa Indonesia; Osmond Pratama Manurung, Sales Engineer of PT Yokogawa Indonesia; Nehemia Indrajaya, Director of PT Austindo Prima Daya Abadi; the Director of PT Truba Engineering Indonesia; and Daryanto, Vice President of O&M Planning and Control of PT PLN Indonesia Power.
