Bengkulu Hajj Pilgrim Referred to Saudi Hospital During Hajj Peak Preparations

Bengkulu – A Hajj pilgrim from Bengkulu City has been referred to the Saudi Arabian Hospital (RSAS) in Makkah as all pilgrims prepare for the peak of the Hajj pilgrimage.

“The pilgrim being treated at RSAS is Umi Kasmini, aged 63, from Bengkulu City, and is currently receiving care at the Saudi German Hospital in Makkah,” stated Kurniawan Arianto Abdul Gani, the person in charge of the Hajj Health Programme for the Bengkulu Provincial Health Office, on Monday.

According to reports from the Integrated Hajj Health Computerised System (Siskohatkes), a total of 1,344 pilgrims from Bengkulu Province are currently in Saudi Arabia. The pilgrims are presently in Makkah, with all groups from batches PDG 02, PDG 03, PDG 04, and PDG 05 having completed the mandatory Umrah rituals.

To date, a total of 19 Bengkulu pilgrims have been referred to RSAS, while eight individuals have been referred to the Indonesian Hajj Health Clinic (KKHI).

In addition to medical services, the health team is conducting the second phase of ground checks, performing health examinations on all pilgrims without exception to ensure they remain in peak condition for the peak of the Hajj rituals.

Health education is also being continuously provided to pilgrims, including recommendations to consume one packet of oral rehydration salts per day, drink 200cc of water every hour, and use personal protective equipment when leaving their hotels.

According to daily health reports, health services within the groups reached 58 services on Monday, bringing the accumulated total to 2,061 health services. The most common diagnoses among pilgrims include acute respiratory infections (ISPA), hypertension, fever, diabetes mellitus, myalgia, pharyngitis, and vertigo.

The Bengkulu Provincial Health Office also noted that one pilgrim from Bengkulu has passed away in Saudi Arabia so far.
