Bengkulu Hajj Office: 393 Hajj Pilgrims in First Flight Group Ready to Depart
Bengkulu (ANTARA) - The Regional Office of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah (Kemenhaj) in Bengkulu Province states that 393 prospective Hajj pilgrims in flight group (kloter) I are ready to be sent off to the Holy Land on Saturday (25/4) morning. “At 20.00 WIB tomorrow (23/4), the Hajj pilgrims will enter the Antara Bengkulu Hajj Embarkation Dormitory, followed by their departure,” said the Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Bengkulu Province, Intihan, in Bengkulu on Wednesday. He mentioned that the 393 prospective Hajj pilgrims consist of 367 from Bengkulu City, 20 from Kepahiang Regency, one each from TPIH, TPIHI, PHD, KBIHU, and two from TKHI. The Hajj pilgrims from Bengkulu will be sent off with two flights on Saturday (25/4) from Fatmawati Soekarno Airport to Minangkabau International Airport to join Kloter II in Padang, then proceed directly to Madinah. The Bengkulu Kemenhaj, together with relevant parties, has ensured that all preparations for this year’s Hajj worship have been completed and are ready to enter the implementation stage. “Alhamdulillah, everything is finalised; we just need to await the execution process,” he said. The Jabal Nur Hall at the Bengkulu Hajj Dormitory, which serves as the service centre, has also been confirmed ready for use, including for the reception and departure processes of the pilgrims. In addition, flight readiness has been assured by relevant parties at the provincial level. All coordination processes with the airline have run smoothly, so the pilgrims’ departure schedule will not face any obstacles. For ground transportation, the buses to be used to transport the pilgrims to Fatmawati Soekarno Airport have also undergone roadworthiness tests. This step is to ensure the safety and comfort of the pilgrims during the journey to the airport. The Bengkulu Kemenhaj has also ensured that all supporting services, including the inspection system and pilgrim service flow at the dormitory, including the X-ray scanning process, are prepared meticulously. He explained that all preparation stages are carried out in an integrated manner involving various relevant parties to ensure that this year’s Hajj worship runs smoothly. With this readiness, the local area is optimistic that the departure process for Bengkulu’s prospective Hajj pilgrims will proceed according to the set schedule.
