Bengkulu Hajj Health Workers Ensure Pilgrim Health for Repatriation Process

Bengkulu - Hajj health workers (TKHK) in Bengkulu Province have confirmed that the health of pilgrims from the region, part of the PDG-02 group at the Padang Embarkation in West Sumatra, is in good condition and they are ready for the repatriation process to their homeland.

“Preparations for the return of Bengkulu Province’s Hajj pilgrims have begun. Currently, 393 pilgrims from the PDG-02 group are at King Abdulaziz Airport in Jeddah, preparing to fly to Minangkabau International Airport at 09:55 Saudi Arabian time or 13:55 WIB,” said Kurniawan Arianto Abdul Gani, the person in charge of the Hajj Health Programme at the Bengkulu Provincial Health Office, in Bengkulu on Thursday.

Health examinations are being conducted through a three-phase check of the pilgrims in the PDG-02 group to ensure their health condition remains stable ahead of their return to Indonesia. Health workers also continue to provide medical services and examinations for other groups of Bengkulu pilgrims who will follow the subsequent stages of the repatriation process.

As the repatriation process begins, he noted that health services continue to be provided to Bengkulu pilgrims still in Saudi Arabia. On Thursday, health workers provided services to 75 pilgrims. With these additional services, the total number of health services provided to Bengkulu pilgrims during the Hajj season has reached 4,880.

In addition to medical services, officers are monitoring high-risk priority pilgrims to ensure their health remains stable before their return. On the same day, visits were conducted for 90 high-risk priority pilgrims, bringing the total accumulated visits to 5,472.

A total of 393 pilgrims from the first flight group of Bengkulu Province, part of the PDG 02 West Sumatra group, departed from King Abdulaziz Airport, Jeddah, to their homeland on Thursday as part of the repatriation process for Indonesian pilgrims following the completion of the Hajj pilgrimage.
