Bengkulu - The Deputy Governor of Bengkulu, Mian, has ensured that services for prospective Hajj pilgrims remain maximum even in a situation of budget efficiency and streamlining. “On behalf of the Governor, we extend our best wishes for a safe journey to the prospective Hajj pilgrims. All preparations have been carried out well by the Hajj and Umrah Ministry Office, in collaboration with the local government and supported by the Forkopimda,” said Deputy Governor Mian in Bengkulu on Monday. According to Mian, the local government remains committed to sending off the pilgrims via air from the Inter-Area Embarkation at Fatmawati Airport to Minangkabau Airport, the Hajj Embarkation in Padang, West Sumatra. This commitment is realised through budget support from the Bengkulu Provincial Regional Budget to ensure the comfort and safety of the pilgrims. “Alhamdulillah, all departures can proceed normally even though we are in a condition of efficiency and budget streamlining, but we can still send them from the Bengkulu Inter-Area Embarkation to Minangkabau Airport by plane (not by bus), the budget is very limited, but for such matters, the Governor and the local government remain committed to sending them by air,” he said. Meanwhile, the Head of the Hajj and Umrah Ministry Office in Bengkulu Province, Intihan, stated that the departure of prospective Hajj pilgrims on Monday, 27 April 2026, is the departure of Flight Group (Kloter) III from Bengkulu or joined in Kloter IV Padang (West Sumatra). The pilgrims departing this time number 387 people from the City of Bengkulu, North Bengkulu Regency, and South Bengkulu Regency. “With this, around 1,200 prospective Hajj pilgrims have been sent off, three out of four klotters originating from Bengkulu,” said Intihan.
