Bengkulu City Government Receives 10,000 Blank e-KTP Cards from National Dukcapil

The Bengkulu City Government in Bengkulu Province has received an allocation of 10,000 blank electronic ID (e-KTP) cards from the Directorate General of Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil) of the Republic of Indonesia. The allocation is intended to meet the administrative needs of residents in Bengkulu City for the coming months.

“We have received an allocation of 10,000 blank cards from the Directorate General of Dukcapil, so currently we have a stock of 12,000. This stock is estimated to be sufficient for the next three to four months,” said Widodo, Head of the Bengkulu City Population and Civil Registration Office, on Sunday.

Should the stock run low, the Bengkulu City Dukcapil Office will submit a request for additional supplies to the Bengkulu Provincial Dukcapil Office and take proactive measures by approaching the Directorate General of Dukcapil directly. Despite this, the office has assured the public that it will continue to provide optimal services.

Widodo urged all residents to utilise the services wisely and to complete the necessary requirements before visiting the service office to speed up the administrative process and avoid long queues. “With sufficient blank card stock and the readiness of our field officers, we are optimistic that population administration services can run optimally. The post-Idul Adha holiday period, which typically sees an increase in demand for documents, is expected to be managed well so that the public continues to receive excellent service,” he explained.

Widodo stated that during the holiday period, the office focused on the types of services most needed by residents, including the recording and printing of electronic KTPs, printing of Child Identity Cards, and processing of change of address notifications. With these excellent services, the city government ensures that there are no bureaucratic obstacles for the public, even during major religious holidays.
