Bengkulu City Council Member Vinna Ledy Allegedly Received Private Sector Funds
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has stated that Bengkulu City Council member, Vinna Ledy Anggraheni, is alleged to have received money from private parties. The KPK intends to follow up on these allegations.
“Investigators are continuing to deepen and trace the matter, following allegations that, in addition to receiving funds from projects managed by the Department of Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR), VLA also allegedly received payments from other private sectors,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo at the Merah Putih Building, Jakarta, on Tuesday night.
Budi explained that investigators will examine the motives, initiatives, and other factors regarding the alleged payments. “The motive and the initiative behind the private sector’s payments to VLA will be investigated, as these are alleged to be separate from the existing PUPR projects,” Budi added.
As the investigation progresses, the KPK has seized a luxury house in South Jakarta and one vehicle belonging to Vinna Ledy. These pieces of evidence are believed to be linked to the ongoing corruption investigation, which involves the expansion of a bribery case concerning the procurement of goods and services within the Rejang Lebong Regency Government and other regions in Bengkulu Province.
Vinna Ledy was previously summoned for questioning as a witness on Monday, 3 August 2026. However, no information regarding the outcome of that examination has been released.
On the same day, the KPK also interrogated the Head of the Bengkulu City PUPR Department, Noprisman, to investigate various projects within the department, including a Wastewater Treatment Plant (IPAL) project.
The case currently under investigation is an expansion of an alleged corruption case involving ‘project priming’ (bribery for future projects) in Rejang Lebong Regency, Bengkulu Province, for the 2025-2026 fiscal year. The Regent of Rejang Lebong, Muhammad Fikri Thobari, is among the suspects.
Private parties involved in the Rejang Lebong Regency case are also alleged to be involved in the bribery within the Bengkulu City Government. The KPK has conducted a series of searches to secure evidence, including a search of the Bengkulu City PUPR Department Head’s residence.
During that search, investigators discovered and seized cash amounting to Rp4 billion. In handling this alleged corruption case in Bengkulu City, the KPK is utilising a general Investigation Order (Sprindik). Suspects will be identified and formally designated as the investigation continues.
