Benchmarking at Fasilkom UI, Cyber University Strengthens Information Systems Curriculum
Indonesian Cyber University (Cyber University) is strengthening the curriculum of its Information Systems Study Programme based on industry needs and digital transformation through a benchmarking visit to the Faculty of Computer Science at the University of Indonesia (Fasilkom UI) in Depok on Thursday (30/7/2026).
The activity aims to align the campus’s academic development with the latest technological advances and the needs of the world of work. The step is part of Cyber University’s strategy as a Shaping Future Digital Leader in building a relevant learning ecosystem, particularly in the financial digitalisation sector.
In the meeting, the Cyber University delegation was led by Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Agus Trihandoyo, together with the Head of the Cyber University Information Systems Study Programme, Dwipo Setyantoro. The group was received by the Vice Dean for Education, Research, and Student Affairs of Fasilkom UI, Achmad Nizar Hidayanto, along with the faculty management.
Agus explained that academic dialogue between universities is part of a culture of continuous improvement in the quality of education.
“Fasilkom UI is one of the important references in the development of computer science and information systems in Indonesia. The input we have obtained will strengthen the curriculum so that it is able to produce graduates who are adaptive and ready to answer the needs of digital transformation,” he said in a press release in Jakarta on Thursday (6/8/2026).
He added that the curriculum strengthening is focused on integrating cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), cyber security, and data analytics into core courses oriented towards the digital finance industry.
Meanwhile, Dwipo said that the results of the discussion with Fasilkom UI academics serve as a strategic reference in the ongoing curriculum refinement process.
“Good practices from Fasilkom UI will be combined with Cyber University’s strengths in financial digitalisation. This alignment is expected to produce a high-standard curriculum with a strong identity and in line with industry dynamics,” said Dwipo.
Through this cooperation and exchange of good practices between leading universities, Cyber University continues to be committed to producing quality digital talent ready to support the acceleration of national digital transformation.
