'Bemo' treatment unfair

It is good that the government is going to abolish outdated
bemo vehicles and replace them with a new form of public
transportation. However, how can the government justify giving
only Rp 500,000 in compensation money to each bemo driver for his
vehicle when the market price is Rp 6 million? What is going to
happen to the unused bemo and, more importantly, to the bemo
drivers?
