Belu to build general hospital

ATAMBUA, East Nusa Tenggara: The East Nusa Tenggara health office said on Monday that the Health Minister has endorsed a proposal to build a new general hospital in Belu regency, near the East Timorese district of Covalima.

Health office head Stefanus Bria Seran said that the hospital would give priority to people living in Belu.

Meanwhile, Belu deputy regent Bria Yohanes said that his administration was still selecting a strategic location for the five-hectare hospital.

"The location should be accessible by people in remote villages so that the lives of sick villagers can be saved," he said. --Antara
