Belong Coffee: A Hidden Gem Coffee Spot Amidst Klungkung's Rice Fields
Belong Coffee has surged in popularity, emerging as a new hidden gem in Klungkung, Bali. Located by the rice fields of Banjar Petapan in Aan Village, Banjarangkan District, the coffee shop has suddenly drawn large crowds after going viral on social media.
The evening atmosphere at the coffee shop offers a visually stunning view. Patrons can enjoy coffee amidst lush green rice fields while taking in the majestic view of Mount Agung in the northern horizon and the beautiful sunset.
One of Belong Coffee’s founders, Komang Antara (33), said the popular hangout spot initially served as a gathering place for the owners to unwind. “Initially, this was just a spot for us to hang out. The idea to open a coffee shop came from our desire to meet together,” Antara explained.
Belong Coffee began operations on 28 March 2026, meaning it has only been running for about two months. Despite being a new establishment, it has attracted crowds thanks to TikTok. “The TikTok virality was organic; we didn’t hire any influencers. It was purely visitors who came and uploaded videos to social media,” Antara added.
The sudden influx of visitors caught the operators off guard. Another founder, Putu Gigih Sugiantara (29), admitted he never expected the simple spot to become so popular. “We were surprised when people suddenly started flocking here. We were overwhelmed because it was initially set up as a small-scale venture,” Gigih said.
Family-Friendly Appeal
Another attraction of Belong Coffee is its proximity to a small, clear-water ditch. The ditch is safe for children to play in.
“The water is very clean, so it’s suitable for bathing. Children love playing here, making it family-friendly. We now also rent out inflatable rings for them,” Gigih explained.
The rental of inflatable rings initially overwhelmed the staff. Gigih said they never planned to turn the coffee shop into a children’s play area.
“But what can we do? Many visitors bring their kids to bathe. The inflatable rings are limited, so children have to queue to rent one,” Gigih added.
Affordable Menu
Despite offering stunning natural scenery, Belong Coffee’s menu prices are very reasonable, with food and drinks under Rp 20,000.
Snacks such as fried potatoes, nuggets, and fried sausages cost Rp 10,000 per portion. Boiled corn is available for Rp 2,000 per piece. “We set the selling price first, not based on the cost of goods sold (COGS),” Antara said.
Drinks range from Rp 12,000 to Rp 20,000. A hot Americano costs Rp 12,000, while the iced version is Rp 15,000.
Opening Hours and Directions
Belong Coffee is open Monday to Saturday from 4pm to 9pm WITA. On Sundays and public holidays, it opens earlier from 10am to 9pm WITA.
The location is easily accessible by motorbike or car. Visitors need to drive west from Semarapura town to Banjarangkan District, taking around 15 minutes.
Upon reaching Aan Village’s junction, take the road towards Banjar Petapan. Key landmarks are the village road leading to the natural tourism area or Taman Petapan Aan trekking path.
