Belarus Offers Indonesia Cooperation in Building Factories and Workforce Training
President Aleksandr Lukashenko of Belarus has reaffirmed his commitment to expanding cooperation with Indonesia across various sectors. From food security and industry to healthcare, Belarus has offered several fields for joint development.
Lukashenko stated that cooperation in food security is a top priority. According to him, every nation needs to possess independence in meeting the food requirements of its people.
“Belarus is ready to contribute to Indonesia in this matter; furthermore, to meet food needs, we are prepared to supply even more fertilisers, agricultural tools, and agricultural technology,” said Lukashenko during a joint press conference at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, on Thursday (2/7/2026).
Lukashenko also offered cooperation in the industrial sector. He mentioned that Belarusian companies, including tractor and vehicle manufacturers from Minsk, are ready to establish collaborations with Indonesia.
Beyond providing products, Belarus is also prepared to train Indonesian workers in technical fields. This training could be conducted in Indonesia or directly at industrial facilities in Belarus.
“We are ready to train our people not only here in Indonesia but also in our factories in Belarus. We are also ready to assist our Indonesian friends in other much-needed fields, such as the tyre industry,” he said.
He also opened opportunities to increase the export of various Belarusian products to Indonesia, such as milk, meat, and other commodities.
“You have requested the inclusion of milk, meat, and various other products into Indonesia. Some of these are areas of cooperation that we consider for realisation. We are ready to launch various cooperation projects and expand any form of partnership in Indonesia,” Lukaspend stated.
According to Lukashenko, the relationship between the two nations should not be limited to trade alone. Belarus aims to encourage the formation of joint ventures as well as the construction and localisation of factories in Indonesia.
In the healthcare sector, Belarus also expressed its readiness to provide support in developing healthcare services and the education of medical personnel. Lukashenko also hopes that people-to-people ties between the two nations will grow stronger, including through an increase in the number of Belarusian tourists visiting Indonesia.
“Our country is ready to provide support for healthcare and medical training for Indonesians. We are very pleased if more tourists from Belarus visit,” he added.
