In a video circulating online, the river’s flow can be seen coloured red, much like blood. The narration suggests the water changed colour due to industrial waste.
Contacted separately, West Cikarang Police Chief Kompol Dimmas Adhit Putranto confirmed that his team had conducted an inspection and verified that the river’s flow had indeed turned red.
However, the exact cause of the discolouration remains unknown. Kompol Dimmas stated that his party would coordinate with relevant stakeholders to conduct further tracing and investigation into the incident.
