Bekasi, Kompas.com – The Bekasi City Transportation Office plans to renovate numerous bus stops along the Trans Beken transport service route, particularly on the Harapan Indah–Bekasi Terminal route.

“There are 14 bus stops that will be renovated. With the new Trans Beken route, we will also make adjustments and improvements to passenger facilities, including the bus stops,” said Soenaryo, Head of Infrastructure Division at the Bekasi City Transportation Office, when contacted by Kompas.com on Friday (13 March 2026).

“The budget allocation is approximately 100 million rupiah,” he added.

The budget submission will be made before the Eid holiday break. Meanwhile, the implementation of bus stop renovation work is scheduled to commence after the Eid holiday period concludes.

“We will begin the renovations after this Eid holiday,” said Soenaryo.

According to Soenaryo, several damaged bus stop facilities will be prioritised for repair. These include leaking bus stop roofs, pillars and walls covered in graffiti, and broken passenger seats.

“The floor tiles that have started to deteriorate at the bus stops will also be replaced,” he said.

“We will make the most of the available budget,” Soenaryo stated.
