BEKASI – During the holy month of Ramadan, the Bekasi City Government will not be holding its weekly Motor Vehicle Free Day (HBKB) or Car Free Day (CFD) programme.

The vehicle-free day, which is typically held every Sunday, will be suspended throughout the fasting month.

“Following the Bekasi Mayor’s Circular Letter, the Car Free Day activity on 15 February 2026 becomes the final activity before entering the holy month of Ramadan 1447H. During the holy month of Ramadan, the routine Car Free Day activity is officially suspended,” according to a statement from the Bekasi City Environmental Services Office published on Sunday (1 March 2026).

This policy has been implemented not only as part of adjusting community activities during Ramadan, but also as part of a traffic management strategy ahead of the 2026 Lebaran exodus and return traffic.

For motorists travelling from the Kranji direction towards Jalan Ahmad Yani this Sunday, normal passage is possible as there is no road diversion.

Vehicles wishing to use that road on Sundays during the fasting month can pass through normally as on any other day.
