Bekasi Station Shuttle Bus Blocked by Angkot Drivers After Train Collision
PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) has responded to a viral video on social media claiming that its shuttle bus service from Bekasi Timur Station to Bekasi Station was blocked by angkot drivers on Tuesday (28/4). The service was provided by Transjakarta to transport customers affected by the KRL journey disruption due to a train accident at Bekasi Timur Station. According to information from the X account @tfbekasiraya, the Transjakarta shuttle bus was blocked by angkot drivers. “During an incident like this, how can they still find time to play blockade games? Once the evacuation is finished, it’ll be over anyway,” the account posted. When contacted, Transjakarta’s Head of Public Relations and CSR Department, Ayu Wardhani, did not deny the incident. Ayu then expressed an apology for the shuttle bus journey that experienced temporary obstacles. She stated that the shuttle bus operations have now returned to normal. “We apologise for the journey that experienced temporary obstacles. The service is now operating normally to serve customers. Transjakarta thanks all parties for their support,” Ayu said. Previously, PT Transjakarta operated the shuttle bus service to transport customers at normal fares. The service was specifically provided to facilitate customers stranded at Bekasi Timur Station to continue their journey to Bekasi Station. PT KAI previously announced that KRL operations at Bekasi Timur Station were temporarily halted. This policy was taken as a result of the evacuation process following the accident involving the Argo Bromo train and the Commuter Line KRL. “Departures from Bekasi Timur Station to Bekasi Station. Transjakarta deployed 4 bus units specifically functioning as shuttles,” Ayu said. She stated that the fleet was fully prepared to assist customer mobility during the ongoing rail evacuation process.
