The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has searched the home of Ono Surono (ONS), Deputy Chairman of the West Java DPRD from PDIP, in Bandung, West Java, in connection with the alleged advance bribery case for a project that has ensnared dismissed Bekasi Regent Ade Kuswara Kunang (ADK). The KPK seized hundreds of millions of rupiah following the search of Ono’s home.

“In this search, the investigators secured and seized several documents, electronic evidence items, and cash amounting to hundreds of millions of rupiah found in ONS’s room,” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters on Thursday (2/4/2026).

Budi emphasised that the search of Ono’s home in Bandung was conducted in accordance with procedures. The search administration was shown during the activity.

“The search conducted by KPK investigators at the home of Mr Ono Surono, located in the Bandung area, we affirm was carried out in accordance with procedures,” he stated.

Previously, the KPK revealed the reason for searching Ono Surono’s home in Bandung. The KPK stated that this search is related to alleged money received by Ono from one of the private suspects in the advance bribery case for the project ensnaring dismissed Bekasi Regent Ade Kuswara Kunang, Sarjan.

Ono has previously been examined by the KPK regarding this case. The KPK suspects Ono received a flow of money from Sarjan, who has been designated as a suspect in this case.

“Yes, including that (related to allegations of money received by Ono from Sarjan),” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters at the KPK building in Kuningan, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (1/4).

In this case, the KPK has designated three individuals as suspects, namely:

  1. Bekasi Regent Ade Kuswara Kunang

  2. Ade Kuswara’s father, HM Kunang

  3. Private party, Sarjan

Ade and HM Kunang are suspected of receiving advance project money amounting to Rp 9.5 billion. KPK Deputy for Enforcement and Execution, Asep Guntur Rahayu, mentioned that the project was planned to be undertaken in 2026. The money is said to be an advance for project guarantee.
