Bekasi Regency Government's Efforts to Maintain Investment Climate Amid Global Economic Uncertainty

Pemkab Bekasi continues to strive to maintain the investment climate amid global economic uncertainty. The regional government hopes that companies in the Bekasi Regency industrial area will minimise the risk of employee reductions and be able to absorb workers affected by the conflict in the Middle East.

“We ask companies to retain their employees, to prevent any layoffs,” said Acting Regent of Bekasi Asep Surya Atmaja, during a visit to PT Enkei Indonesia in South Cikarang on Tuesday (23/6/2026).

He added that companies should be able to open up job opportunities during the current global economic turmoil. “We hope that companies will provide opportunities for local workers in Bekasi Regency,” he continued.

The Bekasi Regency Government continues to maintain communication with industry players to ensure that industrial activities remain conducive. PT Enkei Indonesia is a company that absorbs a large number of workers.

“The regional government is present to ensure that companies can survive and retain their workforce,” he concluded.

During this visit, Asep Atmaja was accompanied by the Head of the Bekasi Regency Manpower Office, Ida Farida.
