The Bekasi Regency Government, West Java, has requested the local Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) to continuously strengthen synergy with the business world to support regional development and enhance economic competitiveness.

“The Bekasi Regency Government places great hope that Kadin can strengthen the collaboration between the government and the business sector to achieve the optimisation of regional development,” said the Regional Secretary of Bekasi Regency, Endin Samsubudin, while opening the VII Kadin Bekasi Regional Consultative Assembly (Mukab) on Monday.

Endin assessed that Kadin’s presence is strategic as a government partner in encouraging investment, strengthening the business climate, and creating inclusive economic growth, particularly given Bekasi Regency’s position as the largest industrial area in Indonesia, playing a crucial role in national economic growth.

According to him, development success cannot be achieved by the government alone but requires close collaboration between the government, the business world, academia, communities, and all elements of society. In this context, Kadin serves as an important partner in presenting and opening investment opportunities, creating jobs, and increasing regional competitiveness.

He emphasised that the agenda of the VIII Kadin Bekasi Regency Mukab serves as an important momentum to strengthen synergy between the government and business actors in facing various development challenges and future business developments. He expressed hope that this consultative forum would produce Kadin leadership that is trustworthy, professional, and capable of addressing various challenges, ranging from global economic dynamics and digital transformation to the strengthening of green industry and the improvement of human resource quality.

“We hope this Mukab produces leadership capable of bringing Kadin further forward and providing a real contribution to the development and economic growth of Bekasi Regency,” he said.

The Regional Secretary also invited all participants to treat the forum as a space for democratic, peaceful, and spirited deliberation. Differences in opinion were considered natural in the organisational process but must remain directed towards the common goal of regional progress.

The Chairman of Kadin Bekasi Regency for the 2021-2026 period, Heri Noviar, stated that the VIII Mukab is an important momentum for the organisation to conduct evaluations and formulate strategic steps in facing the evolving challenges of the business world. He asserted that during his term, Kadin Bekasi Regency has continuously endeavoured to strengthen synergy with the local government, the industrial world, business associations, and various stakeholders to support economic growth and increased investment in Bekasi Regency.

“Through this VIII Mukab, we hope to see the emergence of leadership capable of continuing the organisation’s programmes, maintaining member solidarity, and strengthening Kadin’s role as a strategic partner to the government and the business world in driving the progress of Bekasi Regency,” he said.
