Entering August 2026, the Bekasi Regency Government has prepared a series of important activities. There are three historic moments commemorated this month: Scout Day, the 76th Anniversary of Bekasi Regency, and the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia’s Independence.

The agenda will commence on 5 August and peak with a public entertainment event for the residents of Bekasi Regency on 21 August 2026. This was conveyed by the Regional Secretary of Bekasi Regency, Endin Samsudin, during his address at a morning assembly at the Bekasi Regency Government Plaza, Central Cikarang, on Monday (3/8).

The Regional Secretary stated that all regional apparatus and the community are expected to participate in making the entire agenda a success as a form of togetherness in commemorating these historic moments. One of the scheduled activities is a march on Friday (7/8), which will be combined with the Tourism and Creative Economy Festival (Gebrak) organised by the Tourism Office.

On 14 August, a Scout Day ceremony will be held at the Karang Kitri Campsite in Bojongmangu District. The following day, 15 August 2026, the 76th Anniversary of Bekasi Regency will be commemorated with a ceremony. This anniversary serves as a reflection on the regency’s development journey while strengthening the commitment of all stakeholders to continue realising a more advanced, prosperous, and competitive region. The anniversary will feature several events, including the inauguration of 2025 development projects and the presentation of awards to sub-districts demonstrating the best synergy and performance.

On 16 August 2026, a communal remembrance and prayer session will be held, combined with a flower-scattering ceremony at the grave of National Hero KH Noer Ali at the Attaqwa Islamic Boarding School in Babelan District, as a form of respect for the heroes’ services in fighting for the nation’s independence. The 81st Independence Day ceremony will then be held on 17 August 2026 at the Bekasi Regency Government Plaza, followed by a flag-lowering ceremony in the afternoon. The peak of the series of events will feature public entertainment on 21 August 2026, which is open to all levels of society in Bekasi Regency.
