Bekasi Police Chief Inspects Return Traffic Flow at Integrated Post in Gedung Juang
Bekasi Regency (ANTARA) - Bekasi Metro Police Chief, Commissioner General Pol. Sumarni, carried out an inspection of the return traffic conditions at the Integrated Mudik Post in the Gedung Juang Museum, Tambun Selatan, Bekasi Regency, to ensure the safety and smooth flow of road users, particularly returning Eid travellers.
Sumarni stated that this inspection activity is part of the Ketupat Jaya 2026 Operation, which focuses on securing the return flow of Eid travellers, especially at points prone to vehicle congestion in Bekasi Regency.
“The Gedung Juang Tambun Selatan Integrated Post is one of the strategic points that we continue to monitor intensively because it is a main route for public mobility,” she said in Cikarang on Wednesday.
On this occasion, she also ensured the readiness of personnel in the field to manage traffic flow, implement traffic engineering if congestion occurs, and preparedness in providing services to the public.
The Police Chief also gave directions to all personnel on duty to always prioritise humane service, be responsive to field dynamics, and be quick in addressing potential congestion to maintain smooth vehicle flow.
“We continue to monitor traffic developments, including during the Eid return flow. It is hoped that all personnel can act quickly, accurately, and professionally to anticipate vehicle congestion,” she said.
She took the time to interact directly with the returning travellers who were resting at the post area before continuing their journey, while distributing snacks, packaged drinks, and shopping vouchers.
The Police Chief also urged all returning travellers to always prioritise safety while driving by ensuring physical condition and vehicle are in prime condition, as well as complying with traffic rules for collective safety.
