Bekasi Open BO Murder Case: Two Defendants Sentenced to 15 Years in Prison
The murder case of a male Government Employee with a Work Agreement (PPPK) with the initials NHW in Bekasi is approaching its final stage. The two defendants in the murder case, which began with an offer of sexual services or open BO via MiChat, have each been sentenced to 15 years in prison.
“Sentencing Defendant I Ari bin H Mulyana and Defendant II Aris Aparatulloh bin H Mulyana to imprisonment for 15 years each,” read the prosecutor’s demand as seen on the Bekasi District Court’s Case Tracking Information System (SIPP) website on Monday (31/8/2026).
The prosecutor was convinced that both defendants were guilty of committing murder as stipulated in Article 458 paragraph (3) in conjunction with Article 20 letter c of the Criminal Code. The sentencing hearing was held on 26 August. The next hearing was held today with the agenda of hearing the defendants’ defence.
In the indictment, the prosecutor stated that the case began in January 2026. The prosecutor said that Defendant Ari, who used a MiChat account under the name Rendi Andrian, became acquainted with a MiChat account under the name Sandi, which was later revealed to be the victim NHW.
“During the introduction, the victim offered money in the amount of Rp 50,000 and Defendant I Ari asked what he had to do,” said the prosecutor.
The victim was said to have asked Ari to perform sexual acts and promised Rp 50,000. The prosecutor stated that Ari, who needed money, agreed to the offer.
“After that, the victim arranged a meeting and Defendant I Ari was asked to send his location via the MiChat account, after which Defendant I met with the victim,” said the prosecutor.
“Upon arriving at the victim’s rented room, he immediately entered the room. Once inside, Defendant I Ari asked ‘how does this work, Bang’ and the victim replied ‘you sit there and take off your trousers’,” the prosecutor continued.
After the sexual activity was completed, the victim reportedly gave the promised Rp 50,000. On 28 January 2026, the victim contacted Defendant Ari again. The victim reportedly asked Defendant Ari to bring one friend and promised Rp 200,000 for the two of them.
The offer then increased on 30 January 2026, namely Rp 200,000 plus cigarettes and drinks. Defendant Ari reportedly accepted the offer and planned to steal the victim’s valuables.
Ari then contacted Defendant II, Aris, and invited him to go to a tofu factory. The prosecutor said Ari told Aris to remain silent while waiting for instructions.
“Defendant I Ari said ‘wait a moment, someone is coming’. After that, Defendant I Ari said ‘later you just stay quiet, I’m going to finish him off, you keep watch and follow my instructions’ and Defendant II Aris replied ‘yes’,” said the prosecutor.
The victim then arrived on a Vario motorcycle at around 11.30 pm Western Indonesia Time. The three of them then continued the journey together on one motorcycle to the victim’s rented room.
In short, Ari entered the victim’s rented room, while Aris remained on the terrace. The victim reportedly asked Ari to take off his trousers. After 15 minutes of sexual activity, Ari reportedly strangled the victim.
The victim reportedly fought back by trying to hit Ari. The prosecutor said Ari then wrapped the victim’s neck with a hoodie string while pinning the victim down until the victim stopped moving. Ari then called Aris into the room and asked Aris to help him lift the victim.
Ari then took the victim’s two mobile phones and fled with the victim’s motorcycle. Ari also discarded the key to the victim’s rented room. The stolen motorcycle was later sold by Ari for Rp 4.5 million.
