Bekasi Mayor Tri Adhianto has emphasised that he will impose strict sanctions on civil servants (ASN) who do not comply with the work-from-home (WFH) policy every Friday.

“Specifically for echelon 2 and 3 officials, I want to provide an example. If they do not carry out WFH and then take a national holiday, the sanction is directly for a serious violation,” Tri told the media when met at the Bekasi City Hall Plaza on Friday (10/4/2026).

Tri stated that of the total approximately 25,000 ASN in the Bekasi City Government environment, around 60 percent are undertaking WFH.

Although the WFH policy is implemented, Tri assured that several agencies directly dealing with public needs do not follow this scheme.

He said that several ASN from the Health Agency, Roads and Water Resources Agency (DBMSDA), Fire Department, Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP), and Transportation Agency (Dishub) continue to operate fully.

“So in general, almost all public services are not doing WFH,” said Tri.

In addition, the WFH policy is also implemented on a limited basis at the sub-district and district levels, with a composition of 50 percent of employees still working in the office to ensure public services run without obstacles.

“Including those in the Civil Registration and Population Agency (Disdukcapil), Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Agency (DPMPTSP), and Spatial Planning Agency, so that service processes continue,” he explained.

This includes handling residents regarding BPJS Health Premium Assistance Recipients (PBI) membership that was temporarily deactivated.

“Therefore, we ensure that health insurance and public services in Bekasi City continue to run smoothly,” said Tri.

Furthermore, Tri emphasised that structural officials have the responsibility to ensure all employees continue to work according to the set targets and objectives, even if some carry out duties from home.

“The main thing is to ensure productivity remains maintained and public services remain optimal. That is our priority,” he stressed.
