Bekasi Mayor Furious Over School Administrative Staff Allegedly Sending Pornographic Video to Students
BEKASI – Bekasi Mayor Tri Adhianto expressed fury upon learning of allegations that an administrative staff member at a junior secondary school in West Bekasi District had sent pornographic videos to multiple students.
Tri received reports of the incident from a parent of one of the students via a private message on his Instagram account. He views the act as damaging and tarnishing the world of education, which has been built on moral and ethical values.
“The information came to me via Instagram. We are following up on this matter. This is far removed from the world of education we are building today. It greatly tarnishes customs and decorum,” Tri said to journalists when encountered at Bekasi Municipal Office Plaza on Monday, 2 March 2026.
“I am requesting the civil service board, inspectorate, and education department to impose the harshest possible punishment because this is highly disruptive,” he added.
Tri also disclosed that he visited the school in West Bekasi to ensure that the case is being handled seriously. The accused has since been relieved of his duties.
“The individual in question has already been relieved of their position,” he said.
He emphasised that there is no tolerance for deviant behaviour within educational environments. He regarded the action as a serious breach that betrays public trust and damages the reputation of educational institutions.
“We will take firm action against violations of ethics and morality. I am deeply angry and want to emphasise that the harshest possible action must be taken,” said Tri.
“I want to make clear that there is no tolerance for anyone who harms the world of education, especially when it involves indecent conduct towards students. This is a serious violation and must be processed firmly,” he continued.
“Goodness begins in schools, with our students. It must not be compromised by wrongdoing,” he stated.
Tri added that this case should serve as a moment of reflection for all elements of the education sector in Bekasi City to prevent similar incidents from recurring in the future.
