themselves. But Bekasi residents have to go to Jakarta or its
neighboring regencies like Puncak and Bogor in West Java.

Bekasi lacks recreation places and its residents must coax the
city administration to consider new projects. The government
would be wise to invite private sector participation, which will
in the long run bring financial benefits.
