Bekasi Hajj Embarkation Welcomes Pilgrims, Elderly-Friendly Facilities Prepared

Bekasi (ANTARA) - The Bekasi Hajj Embarkation has ensured full 100% readiness to welcome the arrival of thousands of prospective Hajj pilgrims from West Java Province, including preparations for facilities and services for vulnerable groups such as the elderly, disabled, and women.

The Head of the Accommodation Section for Hajj Service Officers at the Bekasi Embarkation, Kania Budhi Utami, confirmed that preparations for all operational aspects have been completed since last week.

“Alhamdulillah, the Bekasi Embarkation’s preparations are now 100%, starting from staff; since last week, preparations such as changing bedsheets, towels, amenities, and so on have been carried out,” said Kania in Bekasi on Tuesday.

She stated that this year’s service focus is directed towards improving the comfort and fitness of pilgrims, particularly for the elderly group that predominates. Several supporting facilities have been provided within the Hajj dormitory area.

“Of course, now it’s more elderly-friendly, disabled-friendly, and women-friendly. It’s different from last year. And alhamdulillah, there are several things we’ve prepared for pilgrims to stay fit and healthy. We’ve set up several booths inside. There’s relaxation massage, then there’s a treadmill,” she said.

“The pilgrims coming here are from 28 kloters, and we’ve allocated them all on average to Mina D and E,” she revealed.

The pilgrim arrival process is also ensured to run quickly and structured. Upon arriving at the location, pilgrims will be directly directed to the hall to undergo a series of administrative stages and checks.

“Arrival won’t take long. Enter the hall, then separated for men and women, followed by health checks, then distribution of bracelets, living cost allocation, visa distribution, Nusuk card distribution. And indeed, for this year, the Nusuk cards are also distributed at the Hajj dormitory,” she said.
