Bekasi District Transportation Agency: Ananda Babelan Hospital Parking Tariff of Rp222,000 Non-Compliant with Local Regulation
Bekasi – The Head of the Supervision and Control Section of the Bekasi District Transportation Agency (Dishub), Amarulloh, has stated that parking tariffs at Ananda Babelan Hospital in Bekasi District do not comply with the local regulation.
This finding emerged following a surprise inspection (sidak) conducted by the Bekasi District Transportation Agency at the hospital on Thursday, 26 February 2026. The inspection was prompted by a viral report concerning a patient’s family member who claimed to have been charged a motorcycle parking fee of Rp222,000.
“The tariff being applied is not in accordance with Local Regulation Number 1 of 2025,” Amarulloh stated when contacted on Friday, 27 February 2026.
Amarulloh explained that under Local Regulation Number 1 of 2025, the motorcycle parking tariff for the first hour should be Rp2,000. Meanwhile, car parking tariffs range between Rp4,000–5,000, depending on the number of vehicle axles.
According to Amarulloh, the parking tariff system at Ananda Babelan Hospital, which lacks maximum time limits and payment caps, does not conform to applicable regulations.
He emphasised that under Local Regulation Number 1 of 2025, motorcycle tariffs are calculated at Rp2,000 for the first hour. “Therefore, based on that calculation, for three days it should only be Rp6,000,” Amarulloh stated.
In response to this case, Dishub will evaluate the parking management permit issued to the hospital. “We have already explained the matter to them. They must be prepared to make all necessary improvements,” he said.
Nevertheless, Amarulloh confirmed that Ananda Babelan Hospital does possess the required parking management permit.
Regarding whether sanctions will be imposed for the alleged violation of the local regulation, Amarulloh explained that enforcement authority lies with the Regional Civil Police (Satuan Polisi Pamong Praja, or Satpol PP), the designated enforcer of local regulations. “We will report this case to the Satpol PP as the enforcement body for local regulations. System improvements and a review are necessary,” he stated.
Earlier, Syamsuri, a resident of Hurip Jaya Village in Babelan District, Bekasi Regency, expressed shock at the motorcycle parking fee he was required to pay at Ananda Babelan Hospital, which amounted to Rp222,000.
