Bekasi Communication and Informatics Office Prepares WiFi and CCTV to Support Smooth Eid Exodus
The Bekasi Regency Communication, Informatics, Archiving, and Statistics Office (Diskominfosantik) is preparing network facilities including WiFi and surveillance cameras (CCTV) at the Integrated Post at Gedung Juang Museum, South Tambun, to support the smooth flow of the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriyah homecoming traffic. “This step is taken as a form of the local government’s commitment to providing technology-based services to enhance the effectiveness of traffic flow monitoring during the homecoming period,” said the Head of Diskominfosantik Bekasi Regency, Yan Yan Akhmad Kurnia, in Cikarang, in his statement on Thursday (19/3). Yan Yan stated that the network team has been deployed directly to install and ensure the installation functions properly and can be used optimally by the joint task force, particularly at the Bekasi Regency Integrated Homecoming Post. According to him, the presence of this digital infrastructure is an important part in supporting the integrated monitoring system during the homecoming flow period up to the return flow of Eid al-Fitr this year. “The installation of CCTV and WiFi networks aims to provide ease in monitoring traffic conditions in real-time so that every potential obstacle can be anticipated immediately,” he said. He added that the technology installation also allows local leaders and related ranks to monitor the situation directly from anywhere and anytime. “The installed CCTV can be directly accessed by the Acting Regent of Bekasi, Mr. Asep Surya Atmaja, so that he can ensure the homecoming flow runs safely and comfortably, while also facilitating coordination with the Forkopimda if there are obstacles on the homecoming route,” said Yan Yan. The Head of the Information and Communication Technology Division of Diskominfosantik Bekasi Regency, Bahrul Ulum, ensured that the installation of these facilities can produce stable network quality and strategic CCTV coverage. “We are coordinating with related agencies to help place CCTV devices at crucial points to provide a comprehensive picture of traffic conditions around the Gedung Juang Homecoming Post. In addition, the WiFi network we prepare also supports the communication and coordination needs of field officers,” he said. Bahrul stated that through the strengthening of this digital infrastructure, Diskominfosantik Bekasi Regency demonstrates its central role as an enabler in supporting the smooth homecoming flow. “We hope that the management of the 2026 Lebaran homecoming in the Bekasi Regency area can run more orderly, safely, and comfortably, while providing a better travel experience for the community,” he concluded.
