Bekasi City Government to Cover Education Costs for Children of Deceased Tofu Vendor Hit by SPPG-Sticker Car

Bekasi City Government will assist with the education costs for the children of Sanoeri (41), a tofu vendor who died after being hit by a car bearing the Satuan Pelayanan Pemenuhan Gizi (SPPG) sticker on Jalan Kalimantan Raya, Aren Jaya Ward, East Bekasi Subdistrict, Bekasi City. “The victim’s children will also be our concern. Bekasi City Government is ready to help finance their education,” said Bekasi Mayor Tri Adhianto in his official statement on Wednesday (13/5/2026). Meanwhile, the medical treatment costs for other accident victims still receiving hospital care will be fully covered by the Social Security Organising Agency (BPJS). “And the government ensures that all victims currently being treated in hospital will be covered by BPJS Health and Employment until they recover,” said Tri. For information, the accident on Tuesday (12/5/2026) resulted in Sanoeri dying after receiving intensive care at Siloam Sentosa Hospital East Bekasi. In addition, a fried chicken vendor named Neni Anggraeni (32) and the car assistant Putut Dwi Putranto (52) sustained injuries and are still undergoing treatment in hospital to date.
