Bekasi City Government Covers Treatment for Victims of SPPG Truck Accident

The Bekasi City Government in West Java has assured that it will cover the handling of victims from a traffic accident involving an SPPG distribution truck fleet, which occurred on Jalan Kalimantan Raya, Aren Jaya Ward, East Bekasi Subdistrict, on Tuesday (12/5). Bekasi Mayor Tri Adhianto Tjahyono personally visited the funeral home of the deceased victim and checked on two victims still receiving treatment at Siloam Sentosa Hospital in Bekasi. “We extend our deepest condolences for this tragedy. The Bekasi City Government ensures that all victims currently being treated at Siloam Sentosa Hospital will be fully covered until they recover,” he said in Bekasi on Wednesday. He assured that all victims will receive full attention and optimal handling from the Bekasi City Government until the recovery process is complete, including special attention to the family of the deceased victim by ensuring the continuity of their children’s education. The traffic accident involving the SPPG vehicle resulted in the death of a resident from RW 02, Aren Jaya Ward, a gorengan seller named Sanuri. Meanwhile, two other victims are still undergoing treatment: a crispy tofu seller named Umi, who suffered a broken arm, and the SPPG distribution vehicle assistant named Dwi, who sustained head injuries. The accident, which occurred around 10:45 WIB, was allegedly caused by the SPPG distribution vehicle attempting to avoid a motorcycle while passing through a narrow road in the Aren Jaya area. The vehicle lost control and crashed into two traders’ carts in front of a supermarket. The police are also conducting an examination of the roadworthiness of the SPPG distribution vehicle involved in the incident. “We await the analysis and information from the Metro Bekasi City Police Resort. From the Bekasi City Government, we ensure that BPJS Health and Employment services will be covered for the patients,” he said.
